Sam Barber

Sam is a graduate student in the Masters of Science in Counseling Program at Prescott College and is expected to graduate in August 2027. She is pursuing a somatic concentration and is committed to a holistic view of healing that honors the connection between the mind and body in therapeutic work. Sam loves working with people of all ages
and is passionate about understanding each person’s unique lived experience. She is committed to creating a warm, collaborative space that supports growth and a sense of safety within ourselves and within our relationships.

Before entering the counseling field, Sam spent more than a decade working in organic agriculture, teaching children and adults on education farms, and managing vegetable production. She has also taught ceramics to students of all ages. Her background in agriculture and the arts continues to shape her appreciation for community and connection to nature.

Outside of her work, Sam enjoys spending time in the mountains, working in her pottery studio, and spending time with her partner, rescue dog, and friends.

Sam is under the supervision of Kristy Howlett, LCSW #79.
