Melanie Johnson

Melanie Johnson is a graduate student at Naropa University in the Somatic Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy program, expected to graduate in May of 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is certified in health coaching, Hatha yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, and dream work. After many years of teaching dance and creative movement to children, she has also completed coursework in Early Childhood Development & Education.

Melanie blends somatic counseling with talk therapy, creating a holistic space where both the mind and body are invited to speak. Her sessions may include meditation, guided visualization, breathwork, and movement, and she welcomes creative expressions- like art, poetry, and dreams (both waking and sleeping)- as tools for exploration and healing. Melanie also works with children, lifting up her skills in movement, imagination, and play. Outside of the office, Melanie enjoys hiking, dancing, cooking, plant-tending, and spending time in nature.
